History
DT Group has, over the last century, grown into the largest retailer and distributor of building materials in the Nordic region as well as the market leader in heating and plumbing product distribution in Central and Eastern Europe. It all began in Aarhus Trælasthandel, in 1896, in Aarhus, Denmark.

The group opens a department in Copenhagen and changes its name to DDT A/S

The group is listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange

First Silvan opens in Slagelse

3 companies merge and DDT Detail is founded

The group is divided into divisions and Silvan is hived off
